Website & Full Marketing Strategy

Summit Campervan Hire is conveniently based in Kendal – the gateway to the Lake District, just 5 minutes from the M6 (j36). It is a small family run business allows you to experience a personal service where you can leave your car for the duration of your trip in a private car park and customise your adventures with friendly advice.

A recommendation brought an enquiry about a new website and marketing campaign to launch a new venture in the Lake District – Summit Campervan Hire. The company rent out a fully equipped VW T5 campervan for holidays in the UK. They needed the ability to show live availability and to take direct bookings online

As Chris wanted to make all the updates himself we built the website on the WordPress platform with Woocommerce as the basis of the online booking engine. He also asked us to come up with an aggressive digital marketing plan to get him to the top of Google as quickly as possible and get the bookings coming in.

A visually appealing design with the focus on stunning imagery and relevant customer information was delivered. We chose photography that would appeal to the kind of person looking to rent a campervan in the Lake District, and gave them information on the kind of activities they woudl be able to do in this area. The site features a modern design and is mobile and tablet responsive.

We continue to use WordPress as the platform giving Chris and his staff an easy tool with which to make regular updates. The design works equally well across all platforms – desktop, tablet and mobile, and loads quickly, something that is important for Google and SEO nowadays.

Digital Marketing Results

Google & SEO: The first and most important thing was to get the site listed in Google and then to push it up the ranks to get it featuring on the first page as quickly as possible..

Within a few months it was starting to appear and now, 6 months on commands a strong first page presence. As a result they have had the van fully booked out from June to September, with bookings through the autumn and winter coming in and even bookings for next year.

Social Media: It’s still early days but we have helped Chris and his team with a plan and strategy to increase follower numbers and provide them with interesting content that they’ll engage with.

We can only look forward to more great results as their digital marketing campaign develops…
