The old website had been built on an .asp platform and although it had a comprehensive CMS, it lacked flexibility when it came to staff updating and developing the site further. Following detailed discussion with the team at Leeds it was agreed that we would develop the new site in WordPress.
We underwent a lengthy process of rationalising the content, streamlining the navigation and improving the visitor journey. We designed a look and feel that would both remain on brand and would bring the design up to date, user testing and various modifications.
The end result is a site that is easy to navigate, it retains a huge amount if information, but in a way that easily accessible. It looks modern and uses images to great effect. It is simple for the digital marketing and Sport teams to update and through training and support they have also been able to develop a new section themselves.
The site is fully responsive and works equally well across all platforms – desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile.
